Welcome back to the Dev Diaries! It’s been a while since the last episode, so let’s take a look at our most recent progress, shall we?
We give you a closer look at the new enemy designs for both Planet ORL (the swamp) and the Atlantean Reserve (the underwater stage). We managed to optimize our engine to go beyond our previous 1’5 million polygon limit, allowing us to include more enemies and animations… all of which now run at 60 fps.
Xara now wears a special helmet so she can breathe underwater. It makes sense, right? Also, we reveal the new, huge boss awaiting at the end of the Atlantean Reserve.
