New Year, new boss, new stage, new challenges!

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? So first of all, Happy New Year (a bit late for that), Happy Chinese New Year (about the right time for that?) and Happy Shenmue III year if things go as planned, right? RIGHT?? Let us not forget about Yakuza o either, which we hope many of you are already enjoying. I know I am, anyway.

But I digress. We haven’t updated our blog for a couple months, even though we have been updating our social media pages and whatnot, so we thought it would be a good idea to let you all know what we have been up to recently.

First of all, a little reminder for those of you who didn’t get to have a look at our newest boss. Xenocider for Dreamcast is shaping up really well in our humble opinion, and King Hermit is by far our most detailed and unique enemy design to date!

But we haven’t been quiet and calm at all since we finished our underwater level we are so proud of. Actually, after getting together and playing a bunch of Dreamcast classics for inspiration (research purposes, you know), we all came to the obvious conclusion that Crazy Taxi was such a fun game, we felt like creating a new Xenocider stage that felt more urban than alien, more “city” than “planet”…

…and so, with some Crazy Taxi and (because why the hell not) Sonic Adventure inspiration, Transistor Highway came to life!

What does this stage have to offer, we hear you ask? Well, the new moves for Xara that we just implemented will really come in handy when all those obstacles, police barriers, circular razor blades (again, because why the hell not) and flying drones just won’t let you take things easy!

Here comes a new challenger!

There is something else we have been craving to tell you about for the last couple of weeks. We do have a new, exciting project we can’t wait to reveal. One that comes from collaboration, and from the love for the whole Dreamcast scene.

Last but not least, there will be a really nice-looking Xenocider revelation shortly as well. I personally can’t wait to share this. Please stay tuned. And as always, remember you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, SoundCloud and LinkedIn!
